Your letters, comments, questions, Past Letters OPEN LETTERS TO HR Bob has been with the Company for fifteen years and in that time has played an instrumental part in the growth and presence of Sterex in the market place. Bob has always been the ultimate professional in his approach to matters in hand and has always strived for perfection. Bob chose the AEA convention in Las Vegas as a platform to inform delegates and exhibitors of his impending retirement and it was obvious from the reception that he received that Bob will be missed by both colleagues and customers alike. The Directors of Sterex Electrolysis International Ltd. wish him well with his new ventures and various interests that he will now have time to pursue. Bob Chapman will be a hard act to follow, but stepping into his shoes will be Phil Woods our Director of sales for the U.K. Europe and the Middle East, who has attended the AEA convention for the past three years along with the owners of the company and has been working closely with Bob over the last few months, and is looking forward to carrying on following the same professional ethics that Bob has employed in his time as Sales and Marketing Director. Each and every one of us at Sterex wish Bob the very best in all that he sets out to achieve in his ‘retirement’ both now and in the future. — The Directors
The positive note is that electrolysis with a needle (sterile disposable please) still remains as the only permanent form of hair removal. The negative issue particularly in the USA is sadly the demise of the electrolysis school, the life blood of our industry, and whilst some remain, so many closed their doors with the arrival of laser. This trend needs to be reversed somewhat rapidly to ensure the American electrolysis industry takes advantage of its own undoubted strength in the world of permanent hair removal. My personal thanks and good wishes to all my distributors and electrologist friends around the globe and I hope you continue to support Sterex. It’s been quite an experience, and I know I’ll miss you all, regularly reflecting on my many happy and eventful years. — Bob Chapman
